How long is the Kenya eTA valid for?
It allows a single entry and permits stays of up to 90 days.
Can the Kenya eTA be extended if I want to stay longer?
Yes — visit the nearest Immigration Office in Kenya before your eTA expires to apply for an extension. An initial stay of up to 90 days can be extended, though total time in Kenya cannot exceed 180 days.
Do children and infants need their own Kenya eTA?
Yes, every traveller — including infants and children — must have an approved eTA; a parent, guardian, or accompanying adult completes the child's application, and families can apply together as a group.
Is travel or health insurance required for the Kenya eTA?
Yes. Since 30 July 2026, Kenya requires visitors staying under 12 months to hold compliant health insurance (minimum US$50,000 cover) and upload proof during the eTA application, per Gazette Notice No. 11492.
Which airports can I use to enter Kenya with an eTA?
Kenya's main international gateways for arriving travellers are Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (Nairobi) and Moi International Airport (Mombasa), among the other designated ports of entry listed on immigration.go.ke.
