Important Info
- The Sri Lanka ETA government fee has been waived for Indian passport holders under a SAARC tourism exemption (subject to change by the Sri Lankan government) — however the ETA itself is still mandatory before boarding.
- With effect from 25.05.2026, Indian and other nationals of the following 40 countries are eligible to obtain tourist visa (ETA) free-of-charge for a period of 30 days. visit for more details https://eta.gov.lk/slvisa/
- It is valid for an initial 30-day stay, extendable up to 90 days (and further in some cases) at the Department of Immigration.
- Applicants who have obtained a free visa and wish to remain in Sri Lanka beyond 30 days may apply for a visa extension upon payment of the applicable visa fee.
